originally #5 was going to be named by my daughters class, she went into daycare and told them that she was going to bring them in and we had an unnamed chick, and THEY could name it

when she came home from school she had decided that #5 was now ginger and the class was NOT allowed to name it, big hissy fit about keeping promises and disappointing her class BLAH< BLAH< BLAH<

my husband told her that the class could rename HIS duckling, i have since been advised that the class has chosen wither Charlotte or Wilbur

but who knows that may change on monday when they meet the ducks

they are highly duck-like

they love to make a mess of the water, and are very picky about their food

it was so cold last week that the water was freezing to the feathers around their faces

i will try to get some new pics
