You just had to say that.
Morning. Of course I had to say it, it's true.

@casportpony Hi, can you bring that slipped tendon flat taping method link here so we can put it in the notes section? I think it would be great to have as I had no success with chairs either.
Thanks

Chickens usually molt in the fall? I think my rooster might be starting I keep finding random feathers everywhere

Thanks, I've had chickens for a long time but never actually had any molt before so am not versed in it
Most breeds in normal conditions, will molt their second autumn and each thereafter. If hatched early in the year, mine molt their first autumn. I had mine on short days a couple months ago and most have molted already. They've resumed laying. I hope they don't molt again in a couple months but they might. It won't be the end of the world if they do.
The chicks should be laying by the end of November through January.

@ChickenCanoe 16-24 Mt. Vernon, WA with a couple of hikes. One at Artisan point near Mt. Baker.

That sounds wonderful. Good for you.

I despise those wretched things.
Worse yet, they're invasive species in about 90% of their range.

Me neither. I quit trying to fix them. They're so rambunctious they manage to get out of them even though they can't walk after they do.

Good Morning. Yes, I was surprised at their size, too. Have you found out how loud the little keets can be yet?
They're pretty quiet right now (I only have two), but yesterday, you woulda thought the world was coming to an end! I have no idea what the problem was! One of them doesn't seem to be very bright; he kept walking away from the heat lamp and chirping because he was cold. He's doing better today, though. The smaller one is really feisty but not as loud.
