Is it possible to keep a single male Coturnix quail?

What should I do?

I'm seeing if anyone near me wants him, but in the meantime I'm separating him from the others.

Here's Cinni's temporary cage, I made do with what I had. She has a mirror next to it.

It's in my bedroom so I can socialize with her often.

I'm seeing if anyone near me wants him, but if they don't I'll just hatch some more of my eggs and hope they are all female.

Now my other male quail, Sugar, is crying because he misses Cinni. They grew up together and have never been apart before. What do I do now?? Cinni attacked Sugar bit they are still friends.

Sugar is still crying. He hasn't crowed once since Cinni left and just seems.. Sad. Cinni seems lonely too. I don't know what to do, I don't want to see them sad.

I feel so bad about separating them, Eve though I know it's right to do so.
