Is there a way to raise pheasant for release and is it legal?

I checked out the link and ....well there is no way I could provide 25 square feet per chick!!!

Not under cover! And our land is private and only open to invited hunters..... So I guess that's out.

25 square feet per bird isn't really that much when you think about it... that's only a 5' x 5' area. A 25' x 25' covered run would then be big enough for 25 birds. I wouldn't crowd pheasants, they can get cannabalistic.
