i have posted about this chicken in a different way but I have new questions. Does her eye look strange? Like the space around it? No bubbling or weirdness just extra space it seems like. Also she’s my first feather foot and does this look like scaly mites?

Also also... male or female?
Guess on approximate age?

She was acquired in n emergency way and I’m scared to put her in with the others after a month without knowing what could be up. Direction would be great.

OKay so for the mites the chicken chick said I can soak her legs in warm water, apply some oil, wipe that away and put some petroleum jelly to protect after mites are drowned. I am hoping this does it.

@Eggcessive i have heard you are quite knowledgeable. Have any thoughts about this chicken? Especially the eye?

I am not really an expert but the eyes that appear sunken look like some chickens who have been suffering from conjunctivitis (pinkeye) which is a sign of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) That is a chronic respiratory disease. It may start with bubbles or foam in one eye. Sometimes the eyelid will swell or there might be some pus in the sinus which causes facial swelling. Chickens may recover, and sometimes may get symptoms again during periods of stress. If she is not acting sick, I would just watch her. Here is some reading about MG:

Lots of ways to go at it.
I just do the PJ....gonna be a mess on the feathered legs.

THank you guys I appreciate the info. I’m wondering if the avian vet would be able to check out her eyes and do some sort of wellness exam? Prior to me putting her in w the rest of the girls
