I moved and had to sell all my birds!
I'd like to restart my flock this fall so I can be hatching again next spring. I focus on marans, Ameraucanas, and cemani. I may be getting chicks back from my old cemani bloodlines, but new blood doesn't hurt. Egg color/quality, flock cleanliness, and breed conformity are of importance to me!
I will be in need of:
Blue copper marans
Black copper marans
Possibly a couple of birds of other varieties; birchen, white, wheaten, etc.
Blue amerauacanas
Black ameraucanas
Possibly a few of other color varieties; wheaten, lavender, white, etc.
Some good layers for meat and eating eggs also;
Black turkens with good clean necks would be wonderful.
Dark cornish (not cornish crosses!)
Or open to suggestions of other good meat/egg birds with strong broody streaks! Light brown and white egg layers preferred.
+ possibly cemani. Culls OK.
My final flock will be 20-25 birds, so I usually buy twice as many chicks as I need hens.
I am looking to buy n the late summer/early fall. If you have and/or will be hatching any of the breeds or varieties I need, please contact me! I'd love to get your contact info so we can arrange a shipment of birds, chicks, or eggs (whatever works) this year! Thanks!
