Yes; in two more weeks, some of the roos will begin to crow. The more familiar you become with raising bantams, you'll notice certain feathering, conformation, comb and wattle growth are different between pullets and roos.

I'm not much on the color variations, but I think the roo dominates the color, and more so on the chick pullets. I stand to be corrected however.

What identifies a Japanese bantam? What characteristics do they have to make them Japanese bantams?
