(Why are the eggs in little pouches- is that so they don't smother/roll unhatched siblings around the incubator, or?)

When I was locking up the flock last night, I found Tiny(our new Serama cockerel) underneath Scout's wing
I was going to get a photo but when I came back, Tiny scooted out from underneath

Wait... IN the creek? You don't want Momma attacking you, but if they're in actual danger of drowning, maybe use a long branch or stick to get them out. Otherwise, leave them be.
