Hello everyone,
I have two long tailed brothers. They are both Pure breed Sumatra's. They have never had a fight even over a female despite being sexually mature. How ever I am separating the boys from any females and housing them together only as they are my show birds now. There tails always seem to be a mess though as they are about 1.5 feet long now. I have found tons of articles on caring for a phoenix chicken tail that's over 4 feet long but nothing for the Sumatra breed. I have yet to build them a coop or a run, for that reason as I want it tailored to them. So I am looking for any ideas on how I can keep their tails looking nice. If you have any ideas or can point in the direction (link included) to a web site article that can help me would be very very much appreciated. Thank you
