Lucky - The Little Chook we saved from the cat

Thank you guys ^_^ appreciate the tips... Anyone knows what breed is the little Chook?

I had the same happen to me last year, except we found three chicks instead of one (yay for former neighbor letting his chickens roam the neighborhood all day every day until he moved away... ugh). Your chick is really cute, although it might feel lonely. I don't know how feasable it is for you, but if you can, maybe you could get one or two more chicks to keep it company so the chick doesn't drive you crazy with its peeping because it feels lonely.

Thanks All...

Little chook is getting Bigger each week... I still dun noe whether its a gal or boy? at which age will it be pronounce?
Here are more pix

Noticed that it is loosing more of those white chick fur? Is it abt one month old?

Hi OldChick, Thanks...Little Chook Seem happy... I Do not hv space to make a chicken house yet. But hv made a perch for the little Chook as well as a covered area. Wonder if chicken do get cold? It doesnt freeze here where i am...but the cold can be abt 5degree Celsius at times during winter time. I read chicken dun get cold... but am not very certain...

Here are more pix of Little Chooky during first week, vs Now (3rd week with us now)... At wat age can we tell the gender? Some have shared at week 1 when little chook came to us...it may be 4-6 week? so now is 7-9weeks? not sure...

Hi All ;)

Each day, i see little Chooky... I realize it is growing day by day... it may be abt 2 mths old? The Feather on the chest Seem to be fuller this week...
Can any expert share with me at what age does the rooster's Spur grow?

I took a pix of little Chook's Happy FEET here... i read from the internet that both male and female chickens will hv a bump on their feet? just that the rooster one will hv a spur? is it true?
Anyone can tell from the pix? likelihood of gender? oooh...its got a nice fluffy bum now... *laughs*

Hi all, As per your advice, we have just gotten Lucky a new fren. Not sure the breed (it has like greyish blue legs with light brown/dark brown stripe), but the two chooks seem to get along just fine. However, just notice the little chick is not as warm towards me than Lucky. Not sure why, lucky use to follow me everywhere, Tiny (the new chick) seem pretty recluse... maybe still new..not sure. Just got it last weekend

Well Lucky sure did pick the right home! I think she's a she, too! Thanks for getting her a friend. Tiny might not be as tame as Lucky as she probably was not handled as much as Lucky or just might not be a friendly to people.
