That was my point , until proven wrong by Daniel lol
I mean a duck can't have ovaries and testicles right? What we need to know is what noise it makes

that made me laugh. "What kind of noise..."I mean a duck can't have ovaries and testicles right? What we need to know is what noise it makes
What a beautiful duck! I agree, definitely a intersex.Intersex mallard.
EDIT: He is not eclipsing...
First of all the picture is taken some days ago, and right now there is winter in sweden and that means that the wild birds are not changing feathers. Ducks have their most perfect feathers in the winter and this is not his eclipse feathers.
Another thing is that wild colored mallard males have orange/yellow beaks.
Another example on a intersex mallard:

that made me laugh. "What kind of noise..."
the sound would be interesting. I've never heard of the term let alone the reference to a duck or bird.Yeah! Does she quack? I have never seen an intersex duck. I bet she doesn't lay eggs, or never laid them in the first place.
Look at those precious things. I love ducks. Lots.
Here's a picture of my mallards along with one of my Rouen hens.
