I think the hatch is 3 pullets and 3 cockerel.

Some of the chicks are now with an older chick with a bad foot. (hatched from a long egg.) I never fix a foot, I just put them in with younger chicks, the younger chicks don't pressure a chick to be too active, and they usually cure themselves. A chick with a bad foot is also worried about his own situation and will not harass a young chick.

May I ask what you use to candle for dark eggs?

I use a small flashlight, and pay more for better illumination, it may cost $20-30.

I couldnt see in the olive egger eggs when i hatched them.
