has anyone here recorded the mass of a chicken pre-slaughter and then its mass after processing it(removing its guts and feathers etc). If anyone here has I would really like to know those records. I'm curious to see how much of the bird is actually the processed meat we get in the end.

The 75% does depend on your taste. Do you like chicken liver, neck, gizzards or wings? These are not wanted by some, sought after by others. Some want the feet for soup, but, others are grossed out by the giblets. Some only want the breast meat, and skin their birds. They will have a lot less meat on the plate!

depends on if they are cx or heritage.
Heritage has less meat
