I placed an order on 27 Nov 22 from Meyers and was supremely happy with my order.

I ordered all females

Lately Shoelace,a green queen bantam "pullet" has started to look like acockrel.
I emailed pictures about an hourago to the hatchery.i received aresponse and refund within 7 minutes. On a side note what color is he ?

My pictureswere not the best and i offered to get more.

I was already super happy with Meyersin regards to my orders, mybirds, and customer service, but i think that to respond so quickly and easily over the weekend is pretty impressive.

Thank you for this - feedback months later is really helpful when selecting a hatchery - not just that they well packaged the birds, and USPS / Mother nature then consented to delivering them undamaged, but that they were healthy, what you ordered, and that the inevitable mistake was quickly addressed.

What are your plans for Shoelace?

I ordered 15 each guinea straight run keets & 15 "colorful egg layer assortment (which turned out to be one Easter Egger, six Olive Eggers, & eight Cream Legbars) with an August 22 hatching date.

The tracking info made me nervous as the guineas were listed as "label generated" initially while the chicks showed a pickup scan and progress. By the next morning they had regular tracking info. This was more a post office thing than a Meyer thing, of course.

They arrived on time (Wednesday morning). The chicks were all fine, I thought I was going to loose 3 of the keets: two were lethargic and wouldn't even eat (I had to hand feed & water them) and one was obsessed with biting everybody's feet and trying to drag them around.

I hand fed / watered the two sickly ones and they perked up within 24 hours. Ankle-biter I kept picking up and putting in a "time out" and after 3 or for repetitions it stopped attacking everybody.

When I was looking for hatcheries I looked at reviews and feedback, and I didn't want one that was more than 16 hours' drive from where I am (I figured this would keep shipping times reasonable even with typical traffic delays). Plus, Meyer was one of the few that could ship me the keets and chicks at the same time.

That's the whole lot of them (less the Easter Egger that got killed by a Hawk at 13 weeks old), except for the three old birds lurking in the back that are the remains of my original flock.

Sometimes they just offer money back sometimes you can order a new batch and they will give free shipping.

I ordered one Speckled sussex in my last order. And it was the only one that got squished. They said I could have that one replaced and get free shipping if I wanted to order extras.
I ordered 3 more SS just in case, and 2 rare breed hens. They sent a polish, (yeah.) and an ancona. No meal makers they said for the replacement birds. If you order rare, those are the birds you will probably get. Also if you order white egg layers, you will get a polish. Just saying.

I got a welsummer pullet for my meal maker and a bbs ameraucauna as one of my adopt me chicks

In my most recent order i got an easter egger as my meal maker .. and it looks like i got two pullets in my fry pan special possibly 3 but 95% surei got 2..granted nothing special breedsper se silver laced wynadottes, rhode island reds and buff orpingtons were thethree fry pan breeds

I have a june order which is dangerously late in the year here but hopefully it wont be as hot as last year.. i have 5 rare breed, 4 adopt me ,an egyptian fayoumi, a leghorn, and a couple other assorted chicks
