I am looking into getting a mikmar bit for my stallion. He is soft, but will "dig" down with his nose out on trail if he gets excited (and I mean that in energy terms, nothing else). I typically use a Myler snaffle on him, but would like that leverage and the extra pressure points the makers claim the mikmar bits offer. I'm not afraid of hurting his mouth or anything, I'm just wondering what others experiences have been with these bits. Smoky (my stud) moves off leg, seat, and voice, so this is simply an extra aid for me. I'm not trying to get a new bit in order to compensate for not training properly

I've heard really great stuff about them, and am just looking for more opinions. Thanks!

My daughter uses one on her QH and he responds really well to it. I tried it on my TWH and it was no good. Guess it depends on the horse.
