My Cranes Learned How to Surf.................

Or Perhaps I should say barrel roll.....

When I put this floating feeder in the swans mini pond, I never imagined how much fun it would be for the cranes. Sorry about the pic quality, it was very dark outside. The cranes were very curious at first, then one hopped on.... they soon discovered if they flapped their wings it caused the barrel to move and sway, then spin in circles. They took turns trying to get it to spin......I wish I had a movie camera, the pics don't do them justice, they were hopping up and down, really rocking it and hanging off the side.....all the while scaring the swans out of the pond...... too funny.

What's this thing ?

Well, after the Cranes having much fun the past few days playing spin the barrel...... they managed to sink it, ....with some feed still in it.... what a mess.

Must clean out pond.....

Bad Cranes..... no barrel

So no feed barrel for them... have to get an empty one with out holes for them to spin.
