One of my coworkers gave me this huge bag of frozen currants and I have been thawing some out once a week for the chickens. Well, this morning, Mr. Big was a little overexuberant, and I ended up dumping a bunch of them and the juice right on his back! Of course, he then ran away so the berries stayed on his back until his sister ate them.

If I have time tomorrow morning I'll take a picture!

My DH just called me and asked "why is Big Boy PINK????"

There is actually an animal friendly dye called Manic Panic that you can get at a Sally's Beauty Supply. Just leave it on for 15 minutes or longer depending on how bright you want him.
