yea I built it on Sunday and i had my first egg yesterday

I finished mine today and it turned out great. Now the question is how high is it off the floor of the coop? I was thinking 6". But that may be to low. I know that my roosts need to be higher then the nesting box, so what do you suggest?

I have mine 12" off the floor

I ended up putting the 6" off the ground because I had a 2x6 left over. Looks like it will work out ok.
