How about this one? 9 weeks old, I thought it was a roo but the other Roos in my bunch seem to have much longer and darker tail feathers.
In a couple more weeks, it's going to be super obvious. The males get a spiky head of skinny, pointy feathers and the females get a poof of blunt ended feathers. It's not always obvious in the baby feathers but leaning male here.View attachment 736892 View attachment 736919 7 week golden polish

There may be some specific breeds that can be sexed by feather growth, but I have not yet found a reliable way to sex all chicks by feather growth. Some claim there is a way, but I think if it was accurate for all breeds, we would know about it!
