Ok, Who has eaten a Goose?

I accept that people eat geese. I just had to poke Marathonmultiplesmom

. I could never give away or sell a goose that I even suspect would be eaten. I would put down serious bucks to save a goose from the dinner table. I know it is some kind of disorder, but I don't begrudge others, I just scream and plug my ears

Geese are delicious. I use my geese in stir-fries. One goose will feed a family 4-5 meals. I don't like plucking, so I just skin my geese to save time while processing. I also soak the meat in orange juice for a day before cooking to pull out the gamy flavor. We don't care for the off-taste, although I know some enjoy it. It makes a delicious dark meat stir-fry, almost like steak.
Sorry about your loss. If life hands you lemons, then make lemonade.
Good luck.

LOL, I understand Kim. Looking back I have kind of mixed emotions. I believe I did the right thing under the circumstance. It would have been a terrible waste to lose a goose outright completely. But don't poke me, I feel bad!

The geese are like my kids.

Thats actually true from what I heard. Human flesh is supposed to be closest to pork. I don't know 1st hand but I guess if it were a survival situation...
