Old and Rare Breeds

I have a lot of them right now. I just got some chicken peepers or blinders and put on them to see if that helps. My Malay hen is sitting right now.

Here is a picture showing the blinders and another showing how bad they were pecking at the rooster. I just put the blinders on them the other day. I hope it makes the pecking stop.

I am thinking of starting to breed some Dorkings next season. I would love suggestions on places for purchasing stock, and if you think these would be a good bird for northern NY. I live close to the Canadian border and have read conflicting reviews about Dorkings and cold weather.

For Dorkings for a cold climate... I think rose comb dorkings from yellow house farm would be your best bet.
