Hurley, was it, we had -18 here last week, even with the vaseline on my Marans roo's comb, he got frostbit, poor guy!!

Yep, just got done hauling in 3 cart fulls of wood from outside in preparation, the fireplace makes a big difference in the house on those really frigid days and helps with the gas bill. Weatherman is calling for 45-50 mph winds as the cold rolls in tonight. I hear we're under an advisory and supposed to be stupidly cold through Wed or Thurs. Made the rounds and bedded everyone down, fresh water, checked the lights and water bucket heating. Chicks are inside, so not worried about them. Beautiful day today, you'd never know tomorrow will be the polar opposite. Wind is going to be a killer.
