I think the minimum with quail is 12 eggs (but maybe that changed).

I'm not a mod but I think gamble quail have a breeding season and do not produce eggs every day so they are more like a turkey or pheasent. But once again I'm not a mod.

If you didn't need permits to own them here I would be all over them. They are not that common.
