Aretha came out for a swim, and Jojo wanted to mate her.

I saw it through the window, or I would have counted the eggs.

For those that notice that Aretha is a Muscovy, she was purchased as a Pekin. BYC has a few threads that were begun two years ago when across the U.S. TSC’s were shipped White Muscovy instead of Pekin. It continued through the entire Chick Days.
She was the only female out of six. Actually, one didn’t make it. It could have been a girl too.

It’s hard to be a Pekin. Two guesses as to which of these two ducks would get eaten by a predator first. Poor girl sticks out like a sore thumb.
