now I am even more confused,,,,I will have to make a list of what is in that pen this weekend,   it would be the same as back when those eggs were laid....my fence jumper at the time was a mottled java Roo but he didn't do that very often,  and the only other roo' that would be possible is a little  bantam cochin, and I just do not see that happening, mainly because she hates him and beats him up...

as far as the OE that I thought,   I do not know much of his background except his daddy was a maran.....that roo came from Blarney...

Whatever it is, it's a cutie. I didn't think it was gonna make it at first. Looked like it had wry neck & kept flipping over. I didn't have any poly-vi-sol so had to mix up some vit/min supplement with sugar & warm water & squirt a dose into it. Swore it would be dead by morning but it was up running all over & has been fine since.

I went to pick up my 4 marans today (two should be black copper and 2 blue copper) and ended up bringing home a marans/brahma cross too lol. This chicken math really is funny stuff lol. Still have those 2 extra silkies if anyone is interested.
