If anyone here needs layers, the 4-H kids are selling them. You can pick up young healthy sex links that have just come into lay pretty cheap. Montgomery County 4-H Fair, 1015 Bridge Road, Collegville, PA. They are sold by bid. There are about 30 birds and at this point only 8 sold, $12 and $13 a piece. Some may go lower, some may go higher.

Do you guys know how young you can/should worm chickens? I'm doing the rest of my flock and I'm not sure if I can or should do them as well.

Wow! Very nice coop and a great name to boot! If it's just for meat birds why the gen house, will it be used for a laying coop after?

If you don't see signs of worms, I would leave them alone. However, I would feel it's safe to worm them after about four months.
