On the windy MA/NH border
it turns out that the government stocks a field nearby with pheasants.

a friendly male ring-neck pheasant has come here and seems to want to live inside my fences rather that out in the wlld.

he loves chicken feed.

the roosters have chased him into my garden area.

i feel for the guy. he seems tame.

what to do? should i give him a dog kennel to live in? should i feed and water him?

thanks for any advice.

It shouldn't hurt to give him water, but they need a gamebird feed not a layer pellet,so I'm sure he will find enough in the wild to eat.
