What is the ducks name that is always standing beside Lacey? They always seem to be togeather in the pics. Are they best friends? Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics with us.

Lacey and daffys new favourite place!

Who knew a bale of straw is so entertaining!

New ones are settling in well.

The pecking order is nearly established! Just a couple more to go and then it should all be settled!

Lacey picked a handsome boyfriend that Daffy is a looker. Love the pic of hen with the sour look on her face. Is that Big Bertha? She doesn't look to happy with the new additions. They will all settle in soon and be one big happy flock. Thanks so much for your beautiful pics.

I know, he's a little **** at the minute though! Thank you, yeah it is her. She is established above them all now, so she's not fussed anymore. Only one really left to get established with them is the top hen. She has a big fight with them and all came off quite bad, but no one won, so not sure how it will go! But I hope she wins in the end as she is an old girl and is a lovely top hen once everyone knows their place!

Love it when the hens make nests in new straw. Found a duck egg down the stream today. Not sure how long it's been there though. The same girl laid an egg in the chickens nest box today so that was good

When the ducks came across the field today I noticed there was 7! I thought Lacey and daffy were with them at first but then I realised they were right in front of me. Turned out they were hanging out with a pair of wild mallards! This was them when they came running up and after their breakfast!

I understand why you'd have the new duck friends. I'd Fly in also...but you are still a tad cold for my sub tropical bones.

I hope Big Bertha remains the top hen. Maybe Bella can help her mom out if she needs some back up. Your pictures are truely amazing. My ducks and chickens wouldn't know how to act with all that grass. All we have is mud. I might have to block the ducks in the back yard so we can grow some grass. We've planted grass seed but they either eat it or trample it down.

Lacey's pictures are so cute. I think she likes getting her picture taken she is so photogenic. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
