I have 22 hens and 7 ducks and yes every single one is named

Sometimes I have even thought of chicken names before I got the chicken.

Rosie looks like she needs some privacy there you caught her laying an egg. Orp is gorgeous. They always look so low to the ground are their bodies so huge it covers their legs or are their legs short? They look like show quality orphs. Roger is a very handsome roo. Thank you very much!! The Orps legs aren't that short, they just have a lot of feathers. I found Roger dumped in the woods in August 2014!

I thought that was the case with the orhs. Their bodies are so huge it hides their legs. Beautiful pics. I love the ones of Lacey and Daffy. Her little jaws are so plump and you sure tell she loves to eat. Roger is one lucky rooster. With all the hens you have I'm sure he is one happy rooster.

I shut the ducks in the back yard today. My husband planted grass seed and I hope we see some green coming up soon. I am so tired of all this mud. We are suppose to get snow tomorrow.

I wish I could post videos for yous on here like I do on the poultry groups on Facebook. I copy my pics over from there but sadly cant do that with videos!

Well Daffy, you are brave I will give you that! Here he is in the middle going after Jeremy's favouraite girl, Josie the Indian runner! I've been noticing Lacey isn't herself lately, she doesn't call anymore and isn't around and about everywhere like she once was. Looks like there is a duck war going on! I don't really care that daffy goes after the big girls, I always hoped he would to give Lacey a break. The problem is Jeremy, who is an Indian runner goes after Lacey who is a call duck! So if he got her he could do damage or even kill her! I was digging in pen before when I heard Lacey quacking and flying, looked up to see Jeremy chasing her, then daffy chasing Jeremy. So I was like "right!!" And dropped the shovel. I went running up the field so it was Jeremy chasing Lacey with daffy chasing Jeremy then me chasing them all! If anyone was looking they would have thought I was nuts. Was cute tho coz when Lacey saw me coming she headed to me knowing I was coming to help her. Hope this is just a phase for Jeremy because it will be Lacey over him any day.

To reward the hens for being really good with their worming week, they had a big treat day today! There was also grapes and apples that weren't shown in the pics.
