And there I was thinking I was just getting hardly any eggs as loads of them were moulting and only the old girls weren't. Sneaky!
Hello little ducks
Lacey duck vs Charlie. Glad to say Lacey seen him off . Might have had something to do with me warning Charlie that if he touched Lacey he can find himself a new home
Lovely view
Pearl has eventually started free ranging! All she used to do was sit in one shed for hours and then do a little excited run and go sit in the other shed for hours, she seemed to find that entertaining enough! Happy to see she's eventually confident enough to go outside and into the field
Nice morning
Little Rosie/Maddy (I've narrowed it down to two names now lol) is definitely the biggest Lacey look alike out of all the babies
Went to visit Josies babies and the rescue chucks&ducks earlier on. Was so nice to see them all happy and settled. They've got a great home. Played the ducks a video of Josie quacking and they went nuts shouting back at the video, cute how they still recognise her voice.
Tina (right) decided to peck top hen PL on the head!
here was the little face off they had. You can tell PL is not amused...
Morning girls
Bella has some pretty new feathers coming through!
Miles showing off his pretty feathers
Pearl checking out Max's paws
Alice
I have crystal jumping on my shoulder and pearl jumping on my arm every time I bend down. Think they like to make it difficult for me to take pics
Well it's been a sad morning. Had to take Tina to the vets to be put to sleep. She had a Tumor which I've known about for a while and I decided I would let her enjoy life whilst she still could. Up until yesterday she was free ranging and eating, then yesterday she wasn't free ranging.l but was still eating loads and then today she went right down hill and I knew it was time. Her and her friend Rosie sadly suffered the same fate but at least they're reunited now as they did love each other. A sad moment in the vets was when I was holding her, she was very content but when the vet took her from me she got a little burst of energy and tried to struggle and shouted. Was nice in away though as it showed her trust was in me. Was just posting the other day about her being free for a year. Just wish it could have been longer. I knew she was coming to an end when her and Lacey duck stopped scrapping all the time!! R.I.P Tina
Seriously Crystal?! I didn't bend down today for her to hop onto my shoulder, so instead she tried to jump up and flew into my stomach, once she realiSed she couldn't get that high she settled for sitting on my welly!
