We only had the two goslings hatch (our first hatch ever) so have just got the one remaining baby now. Have been giving her lots of cuddles, and tending her wounds too. Our dog was over enthusiastic on the mothering and got them out of the crate I had put them in for first time outside. I blame myself too...poor little thing did not deserve an end like that.
Have managed to get the gosling to settle in with the runner ducklings that are a few days older than her. Hopefully she can mend and join them as a group. She was really quiet until I did this, even with regular cuddles from me.
I have another 6 goose eggs in incubator, but am trying to not get as involved.
