Polish roo eye gone and eye socket bleeding help

Procaine penicillin has the Procaine in it for extended time in the injection.
Procaine is used in penicillin for numbing the pain of the penicillin injection, just like getting novacaine from a dentist or lidocaine when getting stitches in the ER. Just because your vet said to give medicines mixed together in too large a dose, doesn't mean that you should be telling newcomers on this forum on at least 15 threads today to give these drugs this way. I don't mean to be disagreeable here with you, but when giving drug dosages and recommendations, you should have some information from a good source to back it up. It is not okay to mix medicines in a syringe for injections unless it says so on the labels. This can cause precipitation and ruin both meds. I'm glad you have had good luck doing this, but don't preach it to newbies as the thing to do.

Well my cipro should be here by the 26 th

Give that little guy a hug for me, because he has been through so much. I'm sure the warm compresses will help him. Have a merry Christmas with your family.

So let me get this straight. You have an injured bird, who is showing all signs of getting worse. He's been suffering for three weeks despite everything you're doing for him.

Dear lord, enough is enough. Please put that poor bird out of his misery and stop feeding your human need to save that which can't be saved. You have a responsibility to take care of him and the best thing for him now is to have his pain end.
Many of us like to try all avenues before going that route.

I too am very happy to hear he is improving. Many of us do all that we can and fight till the bitter end for them. I have proceeded in giving care to many animals where most would have given up,my thought is if the animal is showing signs of fighting to live, then i will fight for them.

Just recently(boxing day)my 150+lb,10 year old english mastiff dog(Molly)suffered a stroke, she woke up and had no feeling/strength in her front and back legs on the right side. I have been using a sling tied around her backside to maneuver her around. She is now regaining a small amount of strength/mobility,but stumbles and is very unsteady. Instead of putting her down,i am designing a wheelchair type device for her to get around, she is a fighter. So as you can see many of us think like you,we do everything in our power to help them.

Thank you for the advice I have a picture of it if I can get it to post it looks bad :( the whole eye socket has been pecked out. What is the best way to clean the blood off without hurting him?

When our roo needed cleaning up after a attack I just wet down a few cotton balls and wiped his feathers down. Good luck with your roo.

And he is in a mixed flock I ordered the rainbow layers from mcmuray hatchery and he was the free exotic chick. I seperated him from the flock and brought him in my house in a crate he shows no interest in food or water he's strode up twice then just lays back down would it be ok to trim his top notch away from his injured eye so I can clean it up better or should I just try my best to wipe all his feathers down he's such a sweet boy I can't stand the thought of losing him. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!
