On really warm days, I will take a five gallon bucket of water, and then wash each chicken in it. It cools them off

Be very careful doing this...you could shock them and kill them.

When it gets so hot that the chickens begin standing in the water bowl, I put out a bigger pool…

I have yet to see them stand in this one tho…

Yeah the girls wish they had AC . However, just got a solar powered fan, it's getting a test run now. High tomorrow 102 (with humidity at sauna levels) and rest of next week just as bad if not worse .

Watermelon for an afternoon treat is a big hit. My sister said I spoil the girls, but I told her "better spoiled than broiled!"

I make sure it’s warm water.

Birds chill *extremely* easily. Being wet in even a slight cool breeze can be enough to trigger hypothermia. Warm water doesn’t mean they won’t be wet after.
