Well I have just been up to the field to get Bella and she is so grumpy about it now! Lets hope the vets dont cancel her appointment (its an emergency day so if anything pops up they can cancel me). Also I think she is tromotized already because it's the first time she's left the field since she was born! I hope everything goes well for her

It went good for her. Every time the vet reached to touch her she went crazy though. She wasn't having that! She will be staying with me for a week or so, so she is now in the garden in her box getting some fresh air. My mams friend might have a spare coop so I'm going to see if I can get it for her so she isn't cooked up all the time.

They said that the infection really isn't that bad and they also don't think its bumblefoot either. They pult the scab off a little bit just because they wanted to see if it smelt or had any puss and it didn't. She has got this really strong stuff for foot baths and some baytril too

On a positive note, I treated the hens for lice today (will repeat next week) and Bella's mother and Daisy were the best behaved when getting their spot on and dust put on. Daisy was the best, she just beat Bella's mother because Bella's mother started being stupid when I was putting her down. Daisy on the other hand just didn't care.

I don't think I've been to BYC in more than a week. But Johhnn, your pictures of your birds, especially Bella, always bring such a smile to my face!!! So sorry about the one you lost. And so happy to hear you took our baby, Bella, to the vets!
