Powder . . . not Crumbles!

The TSC and Orschelns near me sell crumbles and pellets. I went to the elevator a few years back and bought crumbles and ended up with 2 bags of "mash" which looked like powder. My birds hated it and I ended up dumping one of the bags out for the wild birds to eat. I learned that when purchasing from the coop or elevator I had to be very specific on what I wanted. Apparently "mash" is cheaper to feed, but a total waste of money in my opinion.

I guess I'm fortunate, then, that mine at least DO eat the powder/mash feed.

I just wish the bag label indicated that it was NOT crumbles (I would not have purchased it).

Yeah, I figured as much . . . it's just that I've NEVER opened a bag of "powder" before.

This was my first time seeing this.

And I was glad to hear that I'm not the only one.

Maybe I've just been lucky up till now.

I'm not worried about it since my chickens seem to eat it fine.

And I did go out and purchase a bag of my regular feed (crumbles) that I mixed with this powdery stuff, so I'm cool.
