So I have 16 babies in the house currently on paper towels. I'm moving them to a bigger brooder which has to come inside as well since there is no room in the garage darn it. I don't want to use sand as it has some small cracks which I'm going to seal as best as possible. Personal preferences on shavings, straw, or wood pellets? Pros? Cons? I know they will be dusty from the dander no matter what. They are in our junk storage bedroom lol. Ease of cleaning would be nice since I'm six days post breaking 3 ribs and partially collapsing my lung.

Sorry to hear about your accident!

the only bedding I have used over the 4 years of raising chicks has been pine shavings, they have worked great for me. I'm sure there are more options though. Here is an article about bedding: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/bedding-part-1-comparing-materials
