I am a little heart broken. My first hen is going to be 1 this April and Wednesday I noticed her left eye was much darker than normal. I have been watching her and couldn't be for sure until today, she doesn't have sight in that eye!
The only difference I see is how it is much darker now than her right, and I do know both her eyes have always been the same gold-yellow color.
I feel like I am really failing this chicken keeper gig! I never saw an injury, or signs of sickness in the eye.
Just want to know if there is something I didn't read in all those chicken keeping books I checked out at the library. Any advice, tips, stories to share that could be helpful would be appreciated.
