Question about Incubating.

Is it possible to incubate duck eggs using a heat lamp. I’ve noticed my dark scattering the eggs around the pan as well as a couple eggs being completely crushed. I’d like to hatch them but want to get some answers before I try this on my own. Has anyone done this before. Also if I move the eggs to a separate pen should I move the mother duck with them?

You can try incubating with a heat lamp. Others have successfully done it.

Um, not sure what that means but she doesn’t appear to be sitting on the eggs.

Broody means she is sitting on the eggs to incubate them.
If she isn’t broody, she doesn’t want anything to do with eggs or babies, so don’t put newborns in with her.

Heat lamp may/and has worked, but a incubator would be better IMO, especially if you are new at including eggs. Good luck
