Question on GMO feed

There is a lot of debate about GMO foods. I guess, I would rather my chicken ate it than my child. But what does that traslate into an egg? I don't know. I think you do the best you can given your resources and finances, time, etc. There are many environmental factors. I think it is best to start with being as informed as you can and try to do your best to keep your kids and chicks healthy. My gf buys only non-GMO for her children. But, this is a Chicken website.

No one has ever proven there are any harmful effects caused by GMO crops.

Wow...do you work with Monsanto? That's one heck of a statement. Why is it banned in so many countries? There are plenty of studies that show that GMO crops are harmful. And I don't want to eat any animal that has been eating GMO feed. Grow and eat organically. Pay now or pay later and be a slave to Big Pharma.

And no one ever has proven it is not harmful, so some of us want a choice.
AGREE 100%!!!!!
Awhile back this topic was discussed at great lengths, there were many pages of disscussion.

I do not feed my family food with GMO's so why would I want to feed my chickens food with GMO's which in turn I will be eating the eggs that they make!

With so many countries banning it and here in the US the doors are thrown wide open and hey, we don't even need to know what foods contain GMOs. Here's something to consider. If GMOs weren't bad, why are are the food companies paying BILLIONS of dollars so that their brands are not labeleld? Thats enough reason for me to avoid it any chance I can get. And as soon as I get another flock o birds, no GMOs for them either.

No, I don't worrk for Monsanto.

It's a TRUE statement.

It's banned due to politics and economics, NOT due to harmful effects.

The "studies" you show make lots of claims, but offer no real PROOF.

People can "choose" anything they like, but they should base those decisions on actual facts instead of hype

Well, if Monsanto doesn't allow GMO foods in their own employee cafeteria, then I don't want it either. After reading what it does to the fertility of animals and the health problems it causes for everyone, no GMO (or soy, for that matter) at our Farm. Alot of foods have 'anti-nutrients' in them, phytates and lectins in grains, inflammation causing chemicals in nightshades (peppers, tomatoes) and oxalic acid in some greens (leads to kidney stones). There are ways to prepare these foods to lessen the effects. You can't get the pesticides out of GMO grains.

Actual facts? like the fact that there is gmo in the product or isn't gmo in the product?

How about letting Americans have the facts? If gmo were really safe you could wait for the people who chose to buy it eat it for awhile then study the effects. But no no... That would be freedom of choice. We can't allow freedom, can we? In fact the average American doesn't even know that gmo's exist, let alone that they are in 90% of the things that they eat. Ya, thats an "informed" decision right there.

You may want people to buy your product, and that's fine. But you won't escape the effects. Even now they are reformulating pesticides to contain biohazardous rRNA particles. What are the effects? No one knows. But it will be rubber stamped by the FDA. You go along with tyranny and it only gets stronger, it does not go away.
