Hello, I myself am getting pheasants today, to raise to eat. I am very nervous about raising them, but I am up to the challenge. I"m only getting 10 of them though, because we figured that we would start off with an easy number, so its not so hard to raise them.
Napalongtail- I was wondering how much space mine will need eaach week if I only have 10 of them?

I have raised several batchs of pheasant chicks.
They are very skittish as they get older.
They will also drowned themselves if they are given water
in a regular chicken waterer. You will have to rocks in their
waterer. They are not very smart when it comes to get a
drink. They need to be watered with a quail waterer. The dish on the bottom has a smaller opening so they can't get
their little heads in the water. I had some sleep in their water dish once and they drowned.

. They are fun to raise
just need some extra care.

. They also do better if you feed them chick grower for a few weeks longer then a chicken chick.

They also need lots of room for everyone because they will kill each other.

Good Luck. They are beautiful birds.

Proud mom of 9 pheasant chicks. 3 adult pheasant and a flock of 28 chicks. Multi variety
