hi egg, umm i cant tell color well but my guess is pretty swollen...
on the sides of his toes i think the color is darker/red maybe?

i dont tell color well at all.. Is the swelling a very big concern? i will take the bandage off once my mom comes home... this time i dont think i made it too tight

its an interesting idea, i have an idea on how i can try this but it is winter now, and i have just had him stay in the cage.

so uh if the foot is looking more blue than swollen would that be sign of infection? i can try to make something like this with a plastic container

The swelling and dark color could be that the dressing or splint is too tight. The sling might be good to keep him off the leg, letting him heal it.

Good day, everything seems to be going pretty well, i was considering letting him go back with the hens to sleep today...

he spent the day hanging out in our chicken run.

He has been limping (previously couldnt limp much) I think swelling is down a lot

but I will give it another few days just to be safe, our sticks they sleep on is about 2-3 feet high
