If you mean that one, @Nambroth had a hen with a confirmed case of clostridium perfringens with poop like that. I've also seen poop like that in one of mine that had a yeast infection.

smt1 (and anyone else curious), please note that the above poop is not simply runny and loose, but it contains undigested feed (in the photo there are several pieces of whole wheat, cracked green peas, and some other grains and a bit of chaff). This same hen passed WHOLE, completely undigested black oil sunflower seeds the next day as well. The combo of consistently undigested food (not just once or twice, but in every dropping), consistently loose stool, and a lot of gas (yes!) helped with the diagnosis.

Im not an expert but my hen had yellow poop that looked like paint a few weeks ago and i took her to the vet and he told us to give her magots as it will help her clear her liver, try magots she will love it and it will help clear any bacteria in her liver. Is she eating and drinking?

Yellow poop is never normal. Can you post a picture of it?

I would be beg to differ. Depending on what feed brand you are using (as well as other factors) it can be quite yellow - I'm thinking here of Purina Layena, which has marigold extract in it. Marigold extract would do more than just make yolks deep yellow. That page has been used by us old-timers here on BYC for years!

I believe in giving folks simple answers, not mathematical formulas.

How about we agree to disagree?

I feed mine Layena and never see yellow poop in anything other than sick birds. And that link you posted, I sent three birds for necropsy that had "normal" poop according to that page. Care to guess what killed them?
