I was thinking of just buying a cheap incubator to use as a hatcher.
Sorry for all the questions. I just really don't want to mess this up. My first hatch were just barnyard mix, but these eggs are more exotic breeds & I really want them to hatch.
Jump over to the Cinco de Mayo page and ask her. I was just cutting and pasting to help ya out
Jumping over as suggested
The Oxine is a disinfectant.. even works on Parvo.. but isn't as "toxic" as bleach to your birds... so it's safe to spray on pipped eggs on even in your chicken's face (several people have used it for birds with respiratory issues)
I buy mine from First State Vet http://www.firststatevetsupply.com/store2/oxine-gallon.html
http://www.twincitypoultrysupplies.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=661 sells it in smaller sizes.. but I have never bought from them.

by the way.. you do NOT want the Oxine with the crystals.. it's for use in foggers in commercial hatcheries and so on.. much too harsh for home use (and the fumes are toxic in this type)
for the Listerine use half Listerine to half water.. you only need enough to saturate the paper towels.
the reason for using either one is to inhibit germ / bacterial growth on the paper towel. I prefer the Oxine.. but I realize most people do not have it on hand.
