I know I think they are beautiful!! Im in love with the black Chipmonk marked babies!!! Especially Miracle!! Their all so much different then the chicks I got from Tractor Supply last march!!! Their so tame and dont shy from you like the other chicks did!!

such sweet chicks.. i just had a pip on a shipped serama egg i had given up hopes on as it is end of day 20 and i really thought none would hatch... any tips for hatching these? at what point did you help? thank you in advance. Oh and Congradulations !!

Advice.. get your humidity as high as you can get it! If the pip doesnt move for 8-10 hours, help! My humidity was too low so I shrinkwrapped my babies.. I helped 2 on Sunday since they were the only 2 that had pipped an then Sunday night - Monday morning I put a warm wet papertowl cut in strips to cover the eggs.. at that point I got 5 more pips.. I figured my humidity was higher then an I would let the eggs go an they might hatch themselves, I had only 1 zipp an hatch by its self.. 2 of the eggs that had pipped an their beaks were showing, I noticed less chirpping an when I checked on those chicks, they had passed about 10 hours after pip... thats when I said its time to intervene! I started with the eggs that had pipped and got all of those babies out (which all chicks who pipped except the 2 that passed before I helped, survived!!) the chicks that didnt pip externally, didnt pip internally either and passed before pip.. Serama eggs are very hard to hatch out!! everything has to be perfect!!

I have 3 pips so far. the first pip has made no progress at all, its been about 6 hours since i noticed it. i cant open the incubator, my guts tell me not to. i will wait. thanks for the tips, i am going to up the humidity.

i helped. i have 3 chicks. i left the bottom half of the egg on them for awhile, but now they are out. 1 probably should have waited, but my guts told me they werent getting out on their own. out of 11 shipped eggs that made it to lockdown out of 17, i will be happy if these 3 make it. i will post pictures after they dry.

Thats how I do it! if you leave the bottom part of the shell on they still have to kick it off like they do naturally which seems to be the problem with people when it comes to assisting chicks..

Cant wait to see the little beauties!! congrats!!
