SHAKING FEATHERS?

What does it mean when a peacock's train is up and shaking directly at the peahen???? "There just 9 months old"......

They are practicing their display, hens also do this but they do it to intimidate things or just being silly.

Yes are the next year, I have learned that peacocks mature at different rates mentally ,they may have a pretty train at the age of 2 but it does not mean they will mate, my hens have all been laying by the age of 2 and even had some hatch out their own chicks

You've aldery seen them when they where in the small cage, now there in there bigger pen 12x25 and there doing good wish they where adults so they would've breed this year but I have to wait

I have 2 males and the older(18mo) one like to do that toward the younger one 2-3 times a day. Often when I'm in the area. Not sure if he's showing his dominance or just practicing. He'll even eat out of my hand with his not yet full, train up and shaking. He might think that the little one looks like a female since his greens and blues haven't come in as much yet.
No noise from them yet when doing the dancing...
