I have a lot of babies this year.
All different ages and breeds. Even got some from the turkeys, pigeons, rabbits, guinea pigs and should have some baby ducks in a couple days.

You milder climate this year. My oldest are 2 weeks behind these. Me and kids having a blast setting up a light near pen our eldest group is in. Night flying insects coming in big time. Kids getting good at getting more at first and putting them in for chicks. Kids also getting good at predicting which insects the chickens do not like to eat. Tiger moths are not good eating.

ya Id like to try night bugging. We have a lot right now especially the earwigs (pincher bugs) which come out at night. I two clutches older than that bunch too.. sold off a lot already.

I am going to be selling a lot this year too. Few if any games to be sold, but a lot for use as layers. Games will be mostly eaten, except for a dozen pullets and a dozen stags.

The way it looks I will be able to get top dollar for layer pullets in the fall, maybe even enough to pay for the feed.

I'm through hatching. Blues Kelso and roundhead. And blue over roundhead cross.

I will be hatching for another 45 days. There will be a meeting in building next to my lab. Hopefully they will get to see games used on research. Three game hens will be in a trial monitoring feed intake as they go through the broody cycle up until hatch.

My hens keep hatching. I turned off and put away incubator a while ago.
