Faverolle came to mind firstHey guys . I'm here to hijack this post for a minute! My mums friend has to rehome her silkies (one became a rooster and not okay in city) so of course I agreed to take them in. Upon recieving a photo of my new preciouses, the rooster is not a purebred... any ideas what he may be? Won't have them for couple weeksView attachment 1784449

I like the adventure of crossing birds! When you cross breeds of animals you can get some really funky, interesting, and beautiful results. I also think mixing breeds can improve health because you "dilute" bad genes. I still love purebreeds, unless you are talking dogs. Then it is mutts only for me. I have had dogs out of top of the line show stock... from dogs ranked in the top 20 of their breed in the country...that ended up with breed related health problems. They were wonderful dogs, just not very healthy.I think I am a purest. Why? Cross? We have just Silkies and only Silkies. Don't understand why combo breeds? Sorry. We all have different ideas. They are all beautiful...it's all a matter of your taste.
I personally like only PURE SILKIES or pure other breeds. Regards, Aria
What are the last two roos mixed with?? They're beautiful! Some of my silkie cross breeds
