Thats funny, I was thinking today that her feathers on her feet felt so stiff! It's good to know that the standing thing might be ok! I did see them both do it! They are prettty sweet but the white one is getting picked on more, they stayed in the coop all day today.

I hope she adjust. I always feel sorry for them when that happens.

I had a question about my d'uccle/silkie mix. We have had him/her for a month now, but since then there has been a big change in appearance.

This was when we first got him/her 1 month ago

This was taken yesterday. I noticed that they comb has changed a lot in the past month.

so I am wondering if its still a hen or a rooster.

We have had three. One laid a light green egg and the other two laid cream colored ones.

My EE hen crossed with a charcoal Silkie..... 5 eggs hatched four roosters 1 hen , she lays green eggs...... Size of a Silkie both chicken and eggs

1 month old and oh my the changes. I thought he was a Silkie x d'Uccle, but with that comb not sure.

I have 3 silkie x EEs in the incubator due on the 20th! I'm so exited and watched the chick in the light brown egg wiggle around a few days ago. The green and the blue eggs are now to full to see anything in them now!
