One time I read that if you wave your hand across the top of a group of chicks, the males will pop their heads up, and the females will drop their head down. I don't think I would rely on that method, but it is kind of fun to try, and it does make a tiny bit of sense.

I have a hard time telling when they're that young I would wait a week or two and try again.

I have 2 silkies who are relentlessly picking on a frizzle. Their aggressive behaviors (feather pulling, chest bumping) make me suspect male. On the off chance they're female, I thought I'd get some opinions here.

Anyone care to guess at my white bearded silkie? Only about 4 weeks. Hoping for pullet, but with those streamers? Can they get them that early?
