If your black is actually a blue, then blue- blue could produce splash. But I've never has white chicks from my blues. Have you got any pics?
I have like 10 of those older cull cockerels running around the yard til they fill out more. Mis-colored blacks or partridge...whatever they are. There's a local swap on the 16th and will likely become Asian cuisine if they can't find pet homes there.I love that gold hackle! What does his saddle look like?

I would call that black or blue with gold leakage. I have a hen like that from crossing partridge over blue.
